Wallschlaeger’s Weekly
Oct. 4, 2021
Dear First Grade Parents,
This Friday is the end of the first quarter. Report cards will be coming home the following Friday.
This week we begin a new chapter in Science on Animals. We will be studying many different kinds of animals, their habitats, and their needs. In story time we are going to take a pretend trip to an apple orchard and try to solve a mystery. At the end of the trip there will be a surprise for the students.
This week in Spelling we will be focusing on the sh, and the th sounds. This will not be an easy lesson. We study and practice writing them every day in class, but it is helpful for parents to practice the spelling words at home. Last week in Language we studied writing sentences that were questions. This week we will be continuing to write questions. To go along with Science, the students will be writing questions to learn more about animals.
The students last week did a great job of singing in chapel. They sang loud and clear. I was very proud of them.
May God bless your wee. I hope you have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wallschlaeger
