Student Council:

How can we encourage your child to utilize the leadership, organizational, planning, responsibility, and assessment skills they have learned in the classroom in situations outside of the classroom?

What venue allows them the opportunity to demonstrate Christian love and concern for their fellow students?

Student Council provides those opportunities to Immanuel students. The student council’s purpose is to promote student-teacher understanding, work for the betterment of students, develop student leadership and allow for student expression. The student council is also responsible for modeling Christian servant leadership, learning about citizenship and the promotion of school spirit.

Student Council is also responsible for the organization and planning of afterschool clubs.

Each year student council establishes a set of four or five goals based on student body input and the recommendations of student council. Usually at least two of those goals must be a servant event that helps others, promotes school spirit, and helps students learn what it means to be a good citizen.
