Checking In

3-24-20

This is the day the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24

Dear parents,

You should have all received an email from Mr. Angell with important information about our plans for continuing your child’s education.   As always, if you have any questions, please ask.  Here are some highlights and some additional information.

Book Pick Up

You will be able to pick up books tomorrow at the school between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Your child’s books are on his or her desk in the classroom.  There is a checklist on top of the books.  I crossed off any book that I put on top of his or her desk.  Anything that is circled, was not in the desk and is presumed at home.  This should be a fairly quick “in and out” process.  Please remember to greet others with a wave and practice social distancing with a 6 feet separation.

Zoom Meeting

I just sent out a separate email to all of you with information for our class’s first Zoom meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00 am.  This is not required, but encouraged.  It will give us a chance to touch base and work out technical difficulties.

Online School Starting April 6

With the assumption that we will not be heading back to school on April 6, we will be emailing a schoolwork list to you on Friday, April 3.  This will be one document which will have all of the school work for all classes and any Zoom meetings for the week of April 6-9.  That work will be due on Monday, April 13.  We are hoping to do most work digitally in the middle school.  Any work that cannot be sent back digitally, needs to be dropped off at the school via the drive through from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm on Monday, April 13.  If we are closed longer, we will be following the same pattern of school work sent on Friday for the next week and due the following Monday.

I am working hard leaning new things!  It’s overwhelming at times, but also quite exciting.  Today I spent a lot of time setting up my new home office/classroom and learning Zoom.  Tomorrow I’m going to try to tackle recording and uploading video instruction! But, I am never too busy to speak with you!  Feel free to text, email, call, or we can even do a Zoom video meeting!  Your children and your families are in my daily prayers.  God is bigger than all of this.

In Christ’s service,

Mrs. Frerichs
