Statement of Faith
The Mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is to “Teach [and Preach] a Changeless Christ to a Changing World.”
This is our mission for the following reasons:
Through God’s Holy Word, we believe, teach and confess, that one true God created this world, and all things in it. Human beings were created perfect, and in the image of God, however sin and rebellion turned mankind’s hearts and minds away from God, through Adam and Eve’s sin in the Garden of Eden. Since the day of the Fall into sin, all of mankind has been turned away from God, sinful, and deserving of everlasting condemnation. In fact, we can do nothing at all to save ourselves from this sinful condition.
Therefore, mankind has the same fundamental need – the need of a Savior. We believe, teach, and confess that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the world’s Savior. He came in human flesh to live a perfect life in our place, die the death we owed to sin on His cross, and was Risen by the Father on the third day, so that we can receive the gifts of God – Those gifts being forgiveness, reconciliation with God, bodily resurrection from the dead, and eternal life in Christ’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Therefore, it is our duty, and privilege to share this Good News (Gospel), with all people. Immanuel Lutheran school exists to be a community not only of academic learning, but of learning, growing, and sharing in the unchangeable, eternal, and priceless gifts of God, known through the Gospel. This forgiveness, and life come through faith in Jesus Christ alone!
