Dear First Grade Parents,
Even though this year is coming to a close there are still lots of fun things coming. This week is Science we will be spending time outside studying shadows and how they change during the day. We will also be doing activities to test the wind speed and direction. There will be an Art Show (open house style) starting Wed. in the gym. The Art Show will be open after school from May 19 to the 23. Every student will have 2 to 3 pieces of art in the show.
Since we will not be able to go on an end of the year field trip, I am planning on having an end of the year party. Next Wed. the 26, I am planning to have a party in the classroom. On that day when our work is done, students will clean out their desks and pack up all of their belongings. After we are all packed up, we will have a party with games and a movie.
Mrs. Geisler, Second Grade teacher has given me a letter to hand out to students returning to Immanuel next year. The letter has helpful ideas for your child to work on over the summer to prepare them for Second Grade. Please watch for her letter. It should be coming home on Monday with your child’s homework.
