                                      Wallschlaeger’s Weekly

                                                                                      May 10, 2021

Dear First Grade Parents,

This Thursday is the Block Run. This a tradition at Immanuel we

have had for a long time. This is where students run around the block and are timed.  Mr. Brandon has declared that day a free dress day. Students may wear clothes that are cool and comfortable and wear comfortable running shoes. We need 6 parent volunteers to stand at corners and watch the students as they go around the block. If you would like to be a parent helper and watch a corner, please contact me or the office and let us know.

Another tradition we’ve had at Immanuel is a track and field day with other Lutheran Schools. Since we can’t compete with other schools, we are going to have track and field day here on campus.  The student council has prepared lots of fun activities here at Immanuel where students can compete with students at their own grade level.

Math assignments will look a little different from now on.  We have finished the first grade math curriculum and will be doing second grade math for the last 2 weeks of school.

Outside of the two events this week, classes will remain the same.  The only change will be moving our Spelling test to the afternoon on Friday. I hope you have a great week.

                                                          Sincerely,

                                                          Mrs. Wallschlaeger
