Wallschlaeger’s Weekly

                                                                                      Oct. 19, 2020

Dear First Grade Parents,

Next week is Parent Teacher Conferences. Remember there will be a Noon dismissal on the 29th and the 30th.  There will also be daycare on those days. All students may order a sack lunch which is still part of the free lunch program on the days of the P/T’s conferences. Your child may be picked up at noon or they may stay for daycare. If you haven’t signed up yet for a teacher conference, please do so as soon as possible.

Picture day that was supposed to be Oct. 20 has been moved to Nov.3. More information will be sent home later.

Last week in Science we studied cold blooded animals.  This week in Science we will begin studying warm blooded animals.  In Language we have been learning about different kinds of adjectives.  This week I want the students to write about their pets using as many adjectives as they can. If they don’t have a pet, they can write about a pet that they would like to have.

The assignment will be written in class and read on Friday. I would also, like the students on Friday to bring in a couple of pictures of their pet to show the class after they have read their report. Please no more than 1 or 2 pictures, no photo albums.

I hope you have a great week!  See you next week at your Parent Teacher’s Conference.
