Wallschlaeger’s Weekly
Dear First Grade Parents, Sept. 28, 2020
For those families who are new to Immanuel, I would like to explain the t-shirt that came home with your child last Thursday. The t-shirt can be worn on Fridays (but not required) and on field trips. The t-shirt has our theme on the back for this year. “Eyes looking to Jesus”. When storms in life or troubles come, we should always keep are eyes looking to Jesus. The staff at Immanuel thought this theme was important for this year, considering all the fears and troubles this year has brought.
This week in Science we will be studying animals and their habitats. In Social Studies we will be finishing up our unit on All About Me. This week we will be opening up the school Library so students can start checking out books. Only a small group of students will be allowed in the Library at a time. Library books can be used to read and count as Free Reading on their reading slips.
In Bible Class we are studying when Moses went up on Mount Sinai and received the Ten Commandments from God. For the next 3 weeks we will be memorizing the commandments in Memory.
May God bless your week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wallschlaeger
