Dear First Grade Parents,
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost the end of February and already close to the end of the third quarter. This week is a normal week with no special activities going on at school.
I am happy to announce that you are able to access my parent letter from the internet. Go to the school website like before. Then find my picture in the meet the educators and staff section. Click on my picture. You will need to use the code (0432). It is the same as the gate code. If you have any trouble feel free to stop in or call me on the phone.
March 6th is the ILS’s annual auction. There will be a special dinner and auction with a Hawaiian theme. Come dress like you are in Hawaii at a Luau. On that night there will be a live and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased in the school office. The silent auction starts at 5:00 and the dinner begins at 6:00. After dinner is the live auction at 7:00. This is the school’s big fund raiser for the year to help buy textbooks and new technology for the school.
If you are planning to donate items for the auction, I will need to have them by this Friday the 21st. I need to total the items and get a basket ready for the auction. So far we have a microwave popcorn popper, microwave popcorn, a movie, candy, Hot CocoMix, Uno Attack Game, a Bunco Game, and a three puzzles. I hope you have an awesome week!
Memory and Spelling
Since it is a short week, there will be only one Memory this week.
(Due any day) “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32
This week’s spelling words:
lie tie high might right night bright light pie tight
Bonus: above, laugh
