This Week’s Chapel

Chapel: Parents are always invited to join us each week for chapel starting at 8:35-9:05 in the church. There will be seats available in the front (the choir area) or the very last row of chairs on either side in the back of church. Sue from the Bethesda Lutheran Communities led our chapel this week and she spoke about how each of us is a unique individual created by God. She went on to explain that this extends to those born with physical or intellectual disabilities. God made them who they are and we need to show them the same love that God shows us. We want to thank the first grade for singing during chapel. Next week the sixth grade will lead chapel and sing during the offering.

Chapel Offering: The 3rd quarter offering will go to the Bethesda Lutheran Communities. Bethesda Lutheran Communities provide an array of services that include homes, day programs, employment supports, faith supports, camps and educational supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Fourth and Fifth grade will be promoting this offering project.

Lenten Services: Immanuel Lutheran Church will hold a weekly Lenten service every Wednesday at 7:00 pm from now through March 21. There will be a Lenten Dinner before the service starting at 5:15 pm which will be followed by a hymn sing starting at 6:45 pm.

Prayer Corner: We praise and thank God for the wedding of Ms. Dorn and Mr. Chuck Blanco. We pray God’s blessings on their life together. We pray for healing for Russell Baumann who has had medical issues related to his heart. We pray for healing for Silas and Stella Cotter who have been diagnosed with RSV. Silas is currently receiving treatments in the hospital. We pray for God’s blessings on our ILS auction Friday. We pray God’s blessing on the Bethesda Communities mission and the work they do helping those who are mentally challenged. We pray for all our ILS students and teachers who are ill. We pray God’s blessings on all of our ILS students and families.

Student of the Week: There was no Student of the Week this week. We will resume next Wednesday.
