This Week’s Chapel

Chapel Offering: Our April Chapel offerings will go to support the missionaries sponsored by Immanuel Lutheran Church. Immanuel sponsors a number of missionaries and missions both in the United States and throughout the world. We will try and highlight one of these missionaries each week. This week we would like to highlight the work of Mrs. Janet Borchard who works for Lutheran Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea. In this role she helps to translate the Bible into several native languages as well as leading Bible Studies for people from the area.

Chapel: In chapel this week Mr. Angell talked about ways in which we show our pets that we love them by grooming, feeding, watering, and keeping them healthy. We then talked about how we show Jesus that we love Him by loving others, worshipping Him, praying, reading the Bible, and sharing the Good News. These actions don’t earn us eternal salvation only faith does that but they are in response to Jesus’ love.

Prayer Corner: We pray for wisdom for the Deacons as they finish the interview process and arrange pastoral visits. We pray for Mrs. Tammy Frerichs as she considers our call to be the 6th grade teacher for next year. We pray for the visit of Pastor Kear and his family this weekend! We pray God’s blessings on our 8th grade graduates as they leave Immanuel and for a safe travel for them, Mrs. Cotter, and the chaperones on their class trip. We pray also for our kindergarten graduates and that God would continue to bless them!
