Library Updates

We have been busy adding more books on the shelves and going through the golden ones and replacing by genre, which takes a while. This week we have added additional graphic novels including the series Amulet (Scholastic) and Raina Telgemeir (Scholastic). We have also added to the adventure area and one new dog book per anonymous request each week and five new CAT books! New books from Warrior series and GN Warriors as well as Star Trek have been added per your requests. There are also spine chilling mysteries for the student who wants horror; this is the best our library can do. (Stephen King is in all the public libraries and maybe IT won’t get you first.) We have a box for requests for new books and the scholastic warehouse will be open December 6, and at that time any reasonable book requests will be honored and  purchased if available. Any parent who wishes to visit warehouse can email me Dawn at immanuellibrarian@gmail.com for a coupon to download for $25 off $100 or volunteer to work there and earn free books for holiday gift giving! The book fair will be in the spring, March or April, and I need volunteers to help open it and run the registers. My two junior librarians, Beth and Nathan, will also be helping. Alexis Dennis earned the shelf of library fame for the next two weeks for her contributions to decorating the fall door and writing a submission on Martin Luther. Thank you all for the donations, friendship, support and sharing your kids with our great school.
