Last Day of Classes: Friday, May 26 will be the last day of classes for the 2016-1017 school year. Pastor Hefflefinger will lead chapel starting about 8:45 followed by the Awards Ceremony. Students will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. and there will be no afterschool care that day.

ALS Field Day: ILS students did a great job at Field Day last Friday. Our relay teams all won except, the kindergarten class who finished a close 2nd. The 7th grade class won for the seventh year in a row and our school relay team won for the second year in a row. Thank you to all our families who attended Field Day.

Spring Concert: Parents, family, and friends were again treated to a wonderful band concert this Tuesday by both the beginning and advanced bands as well as a fantastic performance of the musical “Life Song” by the middle school choir. We want to thank Mr. Stoneking and Mrs. Halford for all that they do in working with our ILS students. We also want to thank Mr. Pflieger and Mr. Younis for their help with the sound system.

Graduations: We will still have two graduation ceremonies coming up this week. On Thursday, May 18 the 8th grade graduation will be held in the gym beginning at 6:00 pm. This will be followed by a reception that will also be held in the gym. Finally on Friday, May 19 the Kindergarten Graduation will be held at 6:30 pm in the gym. This will also be followed by a reception in the gym.

Middle School Literature Library Mrs. Dillon requests that ILS middle school students return any books borrowed from her literature library, prior to the end of school, so that she can complete her inventory. Failure to comply with this request will result in a severe beating, torture, and other extremely painful experiences until said books are returned. Just kidding!
